1. Perenjori is the only town in Western Australia named after an Aboriginal word. The word "Perenjori" means "place of little water" in the local Badimia language.

2. The town was originally settled in the early 1900s by farmers and graziers looking for new land to cultivate. Today, agriculture is still the main industry in the area, with wheat, barley, and sheep farming being the primary sources of income.

3. Perenjori is known for its beautiful wildflowers, which bloom between July and October each year. The town even hosts an annual Wildflower Festival to celebrate the region's flora.

4. The area around Perenjori is home to a number of important Aboriginal rock art sites. The most famous of these is the "Man and Emu" site, which depicts a man hunting an emu.

5. In the early 1900s, Perenjori was connected to the rest of Western Australia by a railway line. Today, the line is no longer in use, but visitors can still see the old railway station and other historic buildings around town.

6. Despite its small size, Perenjori has produced several notable athletes, including Australian rules football players Troy Cook and Greg Broughton.
